Jennings & Moran - 7' 2/2, 4-5wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a 7' 2/2, 4-5wt bamboo rod made by Homer Jennings & Tom Moran. Excellent used condition. Medium tempered cane with matte finish. Bright snake guides and carbide stripper, wrapped in translucent tan windings with dark accents. The guide wraps have light shimmers, giving an almost frosted look. Bright ferrules fit perfectly, and the female is fitted with an aluminum and cork ferrule plug. All sections are straight, full length & serialized (#8453). Lightly swelled butt with bent loop hook keeper, hexagonal NS winding check and bright cap & ring reel seat over all cork reel seat and grip. All the cork is smooth with light soiling, and there is an indentation from the slide band on the back of the reel seat. Weight is precisely 3oz. Action on the medium side of medium fast, I think it's best with a 4wt line. The partnership between these two well-known rod makers was brief, and only a few rods were produced under the "Jennings & Moran" name in the late 1970's/early 1980's. This one is sold in the original bag with stiffener and handsome leather tube with "Tom Moran Rod Company" patch
