Winston, R.L. - 7'9" 2/1, 4-5wt Quad Bamboo Rod

For sale here is an R.L. Winston 7'9" 2-piece / single tip quad bamboo rod in excellent used condition. Serial #3197, made during Glenn Brackett's tenure in the rod shop at Winston. Medium toned cane with oxidized snake guides and red agate stripper. Wraps are pale orange with oxblood accents. Ferrules fit perfectly, and both sections are straight & serialized. Strap & ring hook keeper, bamboo winding check, 6.5" cork grip (smooth & lightly soiled), and down-locking NS reel seat over dark wood spacer. Scripted weight is 3 1/8oz, my scale reads 4oz on the nose. Accurately rated as a 4/5wt, action is on the medium side of medium fast. A fine single tip quad from the Brackett-era at Winston. Sold in a replacement tartan bag (Fenwick) and Champion tube.
