Hardy - Uniqua 3 1/8" Fly Reel

For sale here is a scarce early Hardy Uniqua 3 1/8" fly reel in very good original condition. Made for a few short years between 1903 and about 1910, this one features a smooth brass foot, ivorine handle grasp and "horseshoe" spool latch. Fixed, flat caliper check with slight RHW bias. The leaded finish has worn to a gray patina and the stamping on the spool reads "Hardy's Patent - Uniqua Reel". The edges show a bit of wear, but the reel is mechanically tight. Weight is 4.08oz. Sold in a black vinyl Hardy's zippered case.
