Winston, R.L. - 8'9" 2/2 4 5/8oz (6-7wt) Bamboo Rod

For sale here is an R.L. Winston 8'9" 2/2 4 5/8oz bamboo rod in excellent used condition. Built on a lightly tempered blank with low bridge & snake guides wrapped in putty-colored wraps with oxblood accents. All sections are full length and serialized (#9956), and both tips have slight droops in the last 18". Duronz ferrules fit perfectly. The guide spacing on the tips is slightly different and the tone of the varnish is slightly off. It's clear to me that both tips were made by Winston, but I suspect they were made at different times. 6" grip is soiled but smooth, and the rod is fitted with a black Bakelite reel seat with aluminum hardware. Scripted and actual weight is 4 5/8oz. Action on the medium side of medium fast, I like it with a WF6. Sold in the correct 3 compartment red bag and Cal-Air tube with green & yellow Winston label affixed.
