Winston, R.L. - 7'6" 2pc 5wt Fiberglass Rod

For sale here is an R.L. Winston 7'6" 2-piece fiberglass rod in good used condition. Sold with two tips, one is ~2.8" short. My guess is the original tip broke at the tip and Winston made a new tip. Built on a sanded brown glass blank with bright guides and dark red windings. Spigot ferrules: the replacement tip fits nicely with a small gap, the original tip is a bit loose but should shore up acceptably with some ferrule wax. Silver cup Winston decal on the butt section, along with the serial #1137. Cork grip & reel seat spacer with nickel silver checks & hardware. The cork is smooth with light soiling. Scripted & actual weight is 2 3/8oz (with the full-length tip). Medium, fiberglass action. Best with a DT5 and a slower casting stroke. A nice brown glass trout rod from Winston's early Montana days. Sold in the correct 2-compartment red bag and aluminum tube with beige Twin Bridges decal.
