Winston, R.L. - 7'6" 2/1, 3 1/8oz (4-5wt) Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a 7'6" 2-piece / single tip 4wt Winston bamboo rod. Serial #9123, made in 1965 in San Francisco. Chrome guides, putty colored wraps with overwrapped Duronz ferrules. Ferrules fit perfectly, and the sections are full length and serialized. The tip has a slight set in the top 15". The rod recently came back from Glenn Brackett's shop where he installed a new grip and reel seat with proper winding check and aluminum reel seat hardware with Bakelite butt cap. There were a few loose threads on the 2nd snake guide down from the tip top; Glenn cleaned this up and varnished over. Scripted weight is 3 1/8oz, but my scale reads a hair over. Action on the medium side of medium fast, a lovely SF Winston, ready to fish! Sold in the original bag and tube with 80% label.
