Paul H. Young - 'Perfectionist' 7'6" 2/2, 4-5wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a Paul Young 'Perfectionist', 7'6" 2-piece / 2-tip bamboo rod in excellent+/near mint original condition. Serial #4705, one of the last rods made by Bob Summers during his tenure at the PHY Rod Co.. Featuring dark flamed cane with dark guides wrapped in brown windings. All sections are straight, full length and serialized. Ferrules fit perfectly. Bent loop hook keeper and all-cork grip & reel seat with dual slide bands. The cork is clean and smooth, and the varnish is excellent throughout. Overall weight is 2.96oz. Probably lawn cast, although I see no signs the rod was ever fished. A marvelous example. Medium fast action, on the semi-parabolic end. I like it with a DT5 although some will prefer it with a 4wt. Sold in the original dark purple/red satin bag and Champion tube.
