For sale here is an Orvis Battenkill, 7'6" 2-piece / 2-tip 6wt bamboo rod in excellent used condition. Serial #55936, made in 1969. The rod features flamed cane with bright guides wrapped in transparent caramel windings. Blued ferrules fit perfectly and all sections are straight, full length & serialized. U-shaped hook keeper, 6" cigar grip and down-locking aluminum reel seat over wood spacer. The cork is smooth & lightly soiled, and the rod shows signs of careful use. Scripted & actual weight is 3 7/8oz. Medium action, a classic Orvis impregnated rod, rated for a 6wt but better with a 5. Sold in the original bag & tube with blue & silver label intact.
