Orvis - Battenkill 7'6" 2/2 6wt (4oz) Bamboo Rod

For sale here is an Orvis Battenkill 7'6" 2/2 6wt bamboo rod in excellent used condition. Serial #29435, made in 1961. Rated as a 6wt but most will prefer it with a WF or DT5. Impregnated cane with steel snake guides and transparent brown windings. Ferrules fit perfectly, and the moisture plug on one tip ferrule is missing (does not affect the fitment). Sections are full length, straight & serialized. 6" grip is smooth with light soiling, and the rod is fitted with a down-locking aluminum reel seat over wood spacer. Measured weight is 4 1/8oz. Action on the medium side of medium fast, a nice progressive tapered all-around trout rod. Sold in the original bag and Champion tube (no label).
