Sigman, Robert - 7'6" 2/2 3wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a 7'6" 2/2 3wt bamboo rod made by California rod maker Robert Sigman. Excellent+ condition, featuring medium toned cane, 2x2 nodes and dark guides with red banded agate stripping guide. Transparent tan silk windings with claret tipping. All sections are straight, full length & serialized (#00506). Blued ferrules fit perfectly. 6" full wells grip is clean and smooth, and the rod is fitted with a cap & ring reel seat over fine wood spacer. Weight is 3.21oz. Lovely progressive dry fly action, on the faster side of medium fast. I like it with a WF3. This rod comes from the maker's personal collection and was probably only used as a demo/display model. It packs into the original bag and tube and a copy of Bob Sigman's original brochure will be included in the sale.

A note on Bob Sigman's rods from Per Brandin. "The quality of his rods was in my opinion deserving of wider recognition; they were always beautiful with top grade workmanship and as I remember his actions were very good. I did share with him the semi-hollow construction that I developed and then evolved with Mario while in California and I believe many of his rods incorporate this semi-hollow construction, though I believe he also made many solid rods throughout his career. Bob was a gentleman and a quality bamboo rod builder, and he will be missed."
