Winston, R.L. - 8'9" 3pc 7/8wt Fiberglass Rod

For sale here is an R.L. Winston 8'9" 3pc 7/8wt fiberglass rod in excellent used condition. This is a Montana-era steelhead rod, built on a sanded brown blank with bright guides and crimson wraps. Spigot ferrules fit perfectly with small gaps to allow for wear. Scripted weight is 4 1/4oz but my scale reads 3.9oz. The script on the butt is bold and clear, and the original owner's name is inked next to the hook keeper (slightly bent). 7" grip is smooth with light soiling, and the rod is fitted with a bright aluminum reel seat over dark wood spacer. Powerful, medium fast fiberglass action. I like it with a DT7, especially at distances longer than 35'. A fun option for targeting bigger fish. Sold in the original bag and tube.
