Winston, R.L. - 8' 2/2 5wt (3 3/4oz) Bamboo Rod

For sale here is an R.L. Winston 8' 2/2 5wt bamboo rod in excellent used condition. Serial #1788, from Glenn Brackett's era at Winston. Medium tempered cane with bright guides and carbide stripping guide. Transparent tan windings, double wrapped at the guide feet. Ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections are full length, straight & serialized. 6.5" grip is clean and smooth, and the rod is fitted with a down-locking aluminum reel seat over wood spacer. The rod appears to have seen very little use, and the cork looks like it was cleaned at some point. Scripted weight is 3 3/4oz, and my scale reads just a bit more than that (3.98oz). Medium-slow action, a full flexing rod that casts a DT5 with ease. Perfect for spring creeks and technical dry fly fishing. Sold in the original bag and tube with tan Winston decal affixed.
