Winston, R.L. - 7' 2/2 4wt (3 5/8oz) "Leetle Feller" Bamboo Rod

For sale here is an R.L. Winston 7' 2/2 4wt "Leetle Feller" bamboo rod in excellent original condition. Golden tempered bamboo with 3x3 nodes, putty colored wraps and bright guides. All sections are full length & straight, and the ferrules fit perfectly. All sections are serialized; the butt is #9397, one tip is #9797, and the other tip is somewhere in-between (it looks like someone wrote #9797 and tried to change the first 7 to a 3). The rod is clearly original, and the age of the varnish and wraps is consistent across all sections, someone at the rod shop just fudged the serials (this isn't the first instance of this I've seen from Winston). Strap & ring hook keeper, Bakelite winding check and skeleton cork grip & reel seat with aluminum hardware. The cork is smooth and clean, I doubt this rod has seen much use. The varnish is perfect except for one varnish flake on one tip near the ferrule. It's on a single flat and approximately 1/3" long. Scripted and actual weight is 2 5/8oz. Medium action, best with a DT4. A nice example of the 7wt Leetle Feller. Sold in the original bag and tube.
