Winston - 8'6" 2/1, 4 1/8oz (5/6wt) Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a San Francisco-era Winston 8'6" 2-piece / 1-tip, 5/6wt bamboo rod. Very good condition, the ferrules were recently reset by Glenn Brackett. Medium tempered cane with bright snake guides and low-bridge carboloy stripping guides, wrapped in golden tan windings and red accents. Duronz ferrules are overwrapped and the fit it perfect. Both sections are full length, and the tip has a slight fishing set. The varnish is in good original condition, with a few light scuffs here and there. 4 1/8oz scripted and actual weight. The original owners name is scripted on the butt, and both sections are serialized (#8266). 6"grip is slightly soiled, but smooth, and the rod is fitted with the standard downlocking Winston reel seat over Bakelite spacer. Medium fast action, the rod casts a 5 or 6wt line, although I think it's best with a DT6. Sold in the original maroon bag and Cal-air tube with partial Winston decal.
