For sale here is a Darryl Whitehead Presentation grade 7' 2/2 3wt bamboo rod. Mint condition, lawn cast only. Featuring medium tempered cane, spiral nodes and dark Snake brand guides. Pale orange agate guide and transparent tan windings. All sections are full length & straight, and the tips are marked for ease of rotation. High relief engraved ferrules fit perfectly, and the female is fitted with a nickel silver & bone ferrule plug. 5.5" cork grip is bright and smooth, and the rod is fitted with Whitehead's classic engraved cap & ring reel seat over bone spacer. The butt cap has full decorative engraving and the script "D.L. Whitehead - Maker - N. 107". Weight is 3.46oz. Medium, full flexing action, it feels like it will handle a DT3 although it may even take a 4wt line. Whitehead's presentation grade rods are a sight to behold, his attention to detail is unparalleled. This mint 7-footer is sold in the original bag and custom Arne Mason leather clad tube with "D.L. Whitehead Rod Co." stamping.
