Vom Hofe, Edward - Model 423 Restigouche 6/0 Fly Reel

For sale here is an early Edward vom Hofe 423 Restigouche in the 6/0 size. No serial number, and it's features date this reel to the turn of the century. All the metal parts are nickel silver, and the hard rubber side plates and bands are in excellent condition. A few small scratches, particularly around the drag selector but no cracks or major issues. 7-position drag works as intended, as does the on/off clicker. Early stamp on the oil port, and the foot is full length. The reel has received a tasteful polishing and is mechanically very smooth with RHW, direct drive operation. Diameter is a hair over 4 1/4", and the pillar width is just shy of 1 3/4". Weight is 19.71oz. A very fine example of an early 6/0, ready to fish or collect. This reel packs into a period correct leather case in fair condition, adorned with a nickel silver name plate with the initials "B.P.M."
