Vance, Chris - Model 865-3, 8'6" 3/2 5wt Hollowbuilt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a Chris Vance 8'6" 3-piece / 2-tip 5wt hollow built bamboo rod. Serial #321, lawn cast only condition. Medium flamed cane with lightly oxidized snake guides and dark agate stripping guide wrapped in light brown silks with dark accents. Signature wraps at 18" & 20". All sections are straight, full length and serialized. Ferrules fit perfectly and the females are fitted with machined aluminum & cork ferrule plugs. Scripted and actual weight is 3.56oz. 6" cork grip is clean and smooth, and the rod is fitted with knurled cap and ring reel seat over mortised mahogany spacer. An incredibly light and nimble 5wt with crisp dry fly action. Chris Vance is well known for making refined hollow built rods, his rods don't last long on the secondary market. Sold in the original bag with hang tag and brass capped tube with data label and custom tube protector.
