For sale here is an 8'6" 2-piece/2-tip hollow built 6wt bamboo rod made by Chris Vance. Near mint condition, the rod has been lawn cast only. Featuring medium/dark flamed cane, 2x2 nodes, snake brand guides and Mildrum stripper, wrapped in transparent chestnut windings & dark brown accents. Micro Swiss ferrules fit perfectly and the female is fitted with a machined aluminum and cork ferrule plug. All sections are full length & arrow straight, serialized and marked for ease of rotation. 3.462oz scripted and actual weight, the butt section has the makers signature as well as accent wraps at 18" and 20" above the butt cap. A long swelled butt leads into the 6" full wells grip which remains clean and smooth. Blued & knurled nickel silver reel seat hardware over beautiful mahogany spacer. A remarkable rod, light in the hand with an authoritative fast dry fly action. Very comfortable at a range of distances with a DT6. Mr. Vance is a true craftsman and his experience as a custom furniture maker translates well to split cane rods.
