For sale here is a very special Tom Morgan Rodsmiths 7'6" 2-piece / 2-tip 5wt bamboo rod in excellent used condition. Made for Sandy Pittendrigh in exchange for photography and web design work while Tom was still at the helm. The inscription on the butt sections reads "Made for our good friend Sandy - By Tom, Geri & Bill". Hollow-fluted construction, it features blonde tempered cane, snake guides & red agate stripper wrapped in garnet Gudebrod thread with gold accents. Oxidized Swiss ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections are straight & full length. Black hexagonal winding check, 6.5" full wells grip, and black cap & ring reel seat over mortised burl spacer. The cork has some soiling but remains smooth. Weight is 3.80oz and the rod has a very smooth medium fast action. The rod is packaged in a luxurious rod bag with heirloom tube and heavy quilted tube protector. A beautiful TMR cane rod.
