Thompson Reels - No. 100 Fly Reel

For sale here is a Thompson No. 100 fly reel in excellent condition. Made in San Francisco in the late 1940's, the design is similar to a Hardy Perfect, though the Thompson features a drum drag in addition to the click and pawl, and is machined from solid aluminum bar stock. Diameter is 3 3/8" and the drum width is 0.66". Round metal line guard and smooth brass foot, both tensioners work as intended and the drag range is impressive. A very nice example of the SF Thompson No. 100 reel.
