For sale here is a Thomas & Thomas 'Sextant' 8'5" 2/2 11wt bamboo saltwater rod in mint condition. Serial #5763. Featuring tiger striped flamed bamboo, hunter green windings, oversized snake guides and ceramic stripping guides. Everything about this rod was purpose built for the salt. All sections are full length, serialized and straight as a pin. Blued ferrules fit perfectly. A swelled butt leads into the 7" full wells grip (bright & smooth), and the rod is fitted with a milled aluminum, salt-safe reel seat with fixed cork fighting butt. Weight is 7.85oz. Fast action, all-business, backbone for days. Think bluewater, GT's, grande roosters, etc. A pristine example of T&T's lauded Sextant series bamboo rods. Sold in the original bag and brass capped tube.
