Serial #2638, made in 1976 and scripted throughout with Tom Maxwell's distinctive handwriting. 2x heavy tips and 2x light tips. Lightly toned cane with dark guides, high-bridge carbide stripping guide and transparent tan windings. Blued ferrules fit perfectly, and the tips are marked for ease of rotation. All sections are straight, full length \u0026amp; serialized. Strap \u0026amp; ring hook keeper, 6\" cork grip is smooth with light soiling, and the rod is fitted with a cap \u0026amp; ring reel seat over a nicely figured wood spacer. The reel seat hardware doesn't have a mark on it, it's possible the bluing was touched up. Weight is 4.09oz (the light tips weigh ~1g less than the heavy tips). Medium action, a true 5wt in my hands. The butt has a prominent swell which gives the rod some power for those longer casts.
