For sale here is a Thomas & Thomas Montana, 8'6" 2/2 6wt bamboo rod in excellent+ used condition. Mottled flamed cane with oxidized snake guides and carbide stripper. Wraps are transparent tan with brown tipping and dark brown accents. All sections are full length, straight & serialized (#5510). Blued ferrules fit perfectly and the tips are marked for ease of rotation. A swelled butt leads into the 6.25" cork grip (clean and smooth). Up-locking nickel silver reel seat over dark walnut spacer. The reel seat collar retains the T&T stamp, and the script is bold and crisp on all sections. The varnish is near perfect, as is the ferrule bluing. Overall, the condition is excellent+, bordering on near mint. Weight is 6.35oz. A strong 6wt, somewhere between medium and medium fast action. Sold in the original bag and brass capped tube.
