For sale here is a Thomas & Thomas 8' 3-piece / 2-tip 5wt "Beaverkill" bamboo fly rod in excellent used condition. From the T&T "Individualist" series, this one is serial #4286. The rod features moderately flamed cane with lightly oxidized guides wrapped in transparent windings and amber tipping. Blued ferrules wrapped in black thread. All the ferrules have been reset and re-wrapped, and the ferrule fit is perfect. All sections are straight, full length and serialized, and the tips are marked for ease of rotation. Handsome swelled butt with strap & ring hook keeper, blued nickel silver winding check and 6" western style cork grip. Up-locking nickel silver reel seat hardware with T&T roll stamp on the collar and walnut burl spacer. One small check in the varnish about 3" above the script on the butt section, otherwise the finish is in excellent condition. Powerful medium-fast action, a great dry fly rod from a storied bamboo rod maker. Sold in original bag w/ stiffener and brass capped tube with T&T data label.
