For sale here is a model 82, 8'2" 2/2 7wt from R.W. "Bob" Summers. This model is now referred to as the 827. Excellent original condition, serial #7585. Darkly flamed cane with translucent caramel wraps over bright snake guides and carbaloy stripping guide. The glassy varnish is still in excellent condition. All sections are straight, full length & serialized, and the 15/64 ferrules fit perfectly. The tips are differentiated for ease of rotation. Bent wire hook keeper, 6" cork grip and down-locking reel seat over dark walnut spacer. The pocketed nickel silver butt cap retains the maker's stamp quite clearly. The rod is inked with the original owner’s name. The action is medium fast, and is Bob's favorite rod for fishing #6 flies during the Hexagenia hatch in MI. In his words "It has the backbone to keep a 20" brown out of a log jam". Sold in the original bag and brass capped brushed aluminum tube. From the collection of Thomas H. Clark.
