For sale here is a beautiful 7'6" 2.5 weight bamboo rod made by Robert Sigman. 2 piece / 2-tip configuration, made in 1995. The rod is in excellent used condition, and weighs 3.45oz. Oxidized guides wrapped in transparent tan silk with black tipping and chestnut brown accents. Agate stripping guide and oxidized Swiss-style ferrules with wood & cork ferrule plug. Strap & ring hook keeper, 6.5" western grip, and oxidized nickel silver cap & ring reel seat over blonde burl spacer. The finish is in excellent condition, and both tips are serialized. All sections are full length, and both tips have slight casting sweeps in the top 18". Two-opposed node work and book matched tips. Marked as a "2.5wt", it casts a DT3 well with a surprisingly crisp dry-fly action. I suspect it would cast a modern WF2 as well. Sigman's output was never very high, but he was well known in the bay area for producing some very fine rods, and his light line rods are particularly coveted. This one is sold with original cloth bag and black crackle finish tube.
