Scott Fly Rods - SC774, 7'7" 3/2 4wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a Scott SC774, 7'7" 3/2 4wt bamboo rod made by Naoki Hashimoto. Excellent+ / near mint condition. The reel seat has a small mounting mark but otherwise the rod appears basically unused. Flamed cane with 2-opposed nodes, lightly oxidized snake guides and banded red agate stripping guide. Wraps are transparent tan with dark tipping and gold/orange/purple accents. Blued ferrules fit perfectly, and the females are fitted with knurled aluminum and cork plugs. All sections are straight, full length & serialized (#0125). 6" modified Wells grip with 1/4" rings and a flared composite cork ring at the top. The cork is bright and smooth, and the rod is fitted with a slide band reel seat over amboyna burl spacer. The Scott logo is laser etched at the base of the butt cap. Weight is 3.7oz. This is the longest configuration in Scott's current SC (Split Cane) series rods. They call it a full flexing profile, but I find it closer to medium/medium-fast. A true 4wt capable of long casts and pinpoint accuracy. Hashimoto's finishes are top notch, this rod is ready to fish. Sold in the original bag and tube with box and papers.
