For sale here is a Sage Model 508 fly reel in excellent used condition. Made in England by Hardy and based closely on Hardy's JLH line of reels, Sage commissioned a run of these reels in the 1990's. The 508 was made for heavy trout & light salmon/steelhead. Capacity is for a DT7 + 125. Featuring a solid frame w/ ported spool, palming rim, and reversible nickel silver line guard for RHW or LHW fishing (currently set for RHW). Alloy foot is marked with the serial #0030. Light mounting marks to the foot and some very light scratches to the spool release cover. The rims are quite clean, overall the reel is in excellent shape. These reels have become quite desirable, and they pair well with both classic and modern rods. 3 5/8" diameter frame with a spool width of 7/8" and a weight of 5.4oz.
