For sale here is a Sage 14' 4-piece 9wt graphite spey rod in excellent+ condition. This the original Graphite III "Brownie" 9140-4. Made on a dark chocolate blank with bright guides. Black anodized up-locking reel seat, bright and clean cork on the fore and aft grips. The blank is in perfect shape and the rod has only been cast a few times. There is some white marking pencil on the reel seat and the tip, although these look like they would clean up very easily. The 9140-4 was a revolutionary 2-handed rod made in the early 1990's. Full flexing action that loads deep into the grip. Many prefer to speed it up with lighter lines and shooting heads. Sold in the original bag and tube with "Jimmy Green Favorite" in permanent marker on the cap. From the collection of Per G. Brandin.
