For sale here is a 9'6" 2/2 E.C. Powell rod in good, refinished condition. Semi-hollow, cedar core construction. The stripping guide appears original but all the snake guides have been replaced and the shadows of the original corroded guides can be seen throughout the rod. The original ferrules fit perfectly, and the sections are straight. The cork has been replaced, and the original reel seat is intact with Powell makers stamp on the interrupted threads. Both tips have clear wraps, one covering a scarf about 10" below the tip top. The other extends about 4.5" above the second snake guide down from the tip top, although I can't tell what it's covering. Medium, C-taper action. Sold in the original bag & tube.
