For sale here is a 7'6" 2-piece / 2-tip 4wt model 764 bamboo rod made by John Pickard. Based on the Paul H. Young Perfectionist taper. Excellent+ condition with almost no signs of use. Medium flamed cane with dark brown windings and oxidized snake guide. 13/64 Super-Z style ferrules. All sections are straight and full length. Bent loop hook keeper, all-cork "skeleton" grip with cap & ring reel seat. The cork is clean and smooth, and the hardware remains dark and bold. Most PHY Perfectionist are best with a 5wt line, but this rod is based on the 'K.T. Keller' version, which was more of a true 4wt. Sold in the original foldover bag and brass capped tube. This rod comes from the collection of Per G. Brandin and is accompanied by a detailed letter from Per about the history of this rod and his experience with it.
