Perfection Fly Reel Co. - Fairy Fly Reel

For sale here is a scarce "Fairy" model fly reel from the Perfection Fly Reel Co.. Based on the classic Leonard Mills "Fairy". Only around a dozen of these reels were produced and they rarely hit the market. High quality ebonite sideplates with nickel silver furniture and aluminum spool. Excellent+ condition, aside from some minor tarnish to the nickel silver parts the reel looks like it's seen very little use. The original Fairy was designed to fit diminutive reel seats found on some of the smaller Leonard Catskill rods, and this one is a faithful recreation. It is a tight little reel with a fixed neutral check (can be fished RHW or LHW). Weight is 2.61oz. Capacity is up to the user; it will hold suitable lengths of light silk lines and most users find it necessary to load it with 1/2 of a modern DT.
