For sale here is a 'Beaverkill' reel from the Perfection Fly Reel Co. (Fred Balling). A handsome raised pillar reel in the Catskill tradition, this is a new, unused reel with neutral bias (can be fished LHW or RHW). The reel measures 3" pillar to pillar and 1 1/16" between the black Delrin side plates. Weight is 5.11oz. Aluminum reel foot, naval brass shaft & check, ebonite handle grasp, and nickel silver bright parts. The reel is serialized on the underside of the foot (#019), and the face of the reel has a click toggle switch. Depending on the amount of backing, it can be used with 4-5-6wt lines. A wonderful modern reel with the classic styling of the legacy American reel makers (Leonard, W. Mills, Vom Hofe, Slote). Sold in original box with reel paper and woven bag.
