Payne - 8'6" 3/2 6wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is an 8'6" 3/2 6wt Payne bamboo rod in excellent restored condition. Medium toned cane with lightly oxidized snake guides and pale orange agate stripper. Chestnut brown windings (a shade lighter than the original), and black tipping. Blued ferrules fit perfectly and all sections are full length & straight. 6" grip is smooth and lightly soiled, and the rod is fitted with the classic up-locking Payne reel seat over Spanish cedar spacer. The collar retains the maker's stamp. Weight is 5oz. No hang tag, but it's probably a model 205. Medium action, it feels like it will be comfortable with a DT6. Nicely restored and ready to fish, sold in the original bag & brass capped tube with replacement blue & silver label. The grommet is all that remain of the hang tag.
