No model is inked on the rod, but it is almost certainly a Princess or similar taper. Made in 1956 for Alec C. Little. The rod features flamed bamboo, dark snake guides and bronze silk windings. Silky smooth Jappaned aluminum ferrules fit together perfectly. All sections are straight, full length \u0026amp; serialized (#2215). Ventilated cork grip with thumb relief leads into the dual slide band reel seat over cork spacer. All the cork is bright and smooth, and aside from some light marks on the ferrules from being assembled a few times the rod is nearly mint. All script is in Paul Young's handwriting, and the butt reads: \u003cem\u003e(first flat) Alec C. Little Xmas '56 (second flat) 7 1\/2' - 13 - 4 1\/2 - 2.65oz H.E.H (third flat) Paul H. Young Co. Detroit - Maker\u003c\/em\u003e. Measured weight is 2.65oz. I careful casted this rod with a DT5. It has a sublime parabolic character, one of the finest Paul Young creations I have seen. A stunning rod and an ultra-rare offering.
