For sale here is a very nice Paul Young Perfectionist, 7'6" 2/2 4-5wt bamboo rod. Excellent original condition, serial #3825. This rod was probably made in the last year or so before Paul H. Young passed away. Darkly flamed cane, dark guides and golden bronze windings. Japanned aluminum ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections are full length & serialized. Both tips have slight sets from right-hand casting. Jack Young's script on the butt reads "Paul H Young Co. Detroit - Perfectionist 7 1/2' 2.75oz HCH". Bent loop hook keeper, 5.5" grip and all cork reel seat with dual aluminum slide bands. The cork is smooth with light soiling and the finish on the slide bands shows minor wear. Weight is 2.75oz on the nose. Medium fast, semi-parabolic action. It works well with either a DT4 or DT5. A very nice original Perfectionist from the "Old Man" era. Sold in the original tube and what looks like a replacement (Summers?) bag.
