For sale here is a 7'6" 3-piece / 2-tip 4wt bamboo fly rod from the bench of Bill Oyster. Medium flamed cane, green jadeite stripping guide and bright hardware wrapped in pale green silks with oxblood accents. Micro swiss ferrules fit perfectly. U-shaped hook keeper and nickel silver winding check. Ultra flor grade cork handle in reverse half-wells style is pristine. Up-locking nickel silver reel seat hardware over fine wood spacer. The butt of the reel seat is engraved with the rod length, weight, and serial number (#1431012), and the Oyster logo is engraved on the sliding band. This is an early rod with Bill's signature hand inked on one flat. Condition is excellent+++ and appears to have seen very little use. Action is medium fast and I like it with both a DT4 and a WF4. Sold in original cloth rod sock and powder coated aluminum tube with Oyster decal.
