Orvis - Wes Jordan 7'6" 2/2 6wt Bamboo Rod
$1,100.00
For sale here is an Orvis Wes Jordan 7'6" 2/2 6wt bamboo rod in excellent+ condition. The reel seat spacer has a few small marks indicating a reel was mounted and the rod has been cast, however it appears unfished. Serial #79713, made in 1976. Medium tempered, impregnated cane. Bright guides and high-bridge carbide stripping guide, all wrapped in transparent brown windings. Blued 12/64 ferrules fit perfectly, and the sections are full length, straight & serialized. Strap & ring hook keeper, 6.5" grip (smooth and clean), and down-locking reel seat hardware with the original owner's name engraved on the butt. The only condition note I have is that the top cork on the grip is cracking in two places. It could very easily be fished as-is, however the next owner may wish to add a dab of glue to shore it up. Scripted weight is 3 7/8oz, but my scale reads closer to 4oz. Rated as a 6wt but it feels like a 5wt to me. Medium, progressive action, a fine all-around bamboo trout rod. Sold in the original leather clad aluminum tube.
