For sale here is an Orvis Seven/Four, 7' 3/2 4wt bamboo rod in excellent used condition. Blonde cane with resorcinol glue lines and bright guides. Windings are transparent tan with light brown tipping. Bright ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections are straight, full length & serialized (#87196). Made in 1988. 6.5" cork grip is clean and smooth. The varnished wraps at the top of the grip have some light scratches, I'm guessing the grip was cleaned with something slightly abrasive and it scratched the bottom of the wraps. Blonde wood spacer with nickel silver hardware. Scripted and actual weight is 3 3/8oz. Medium action, I find this taper to be truly rate; it's best with a DT4. A popular small stream taper from Orvis, one of the finest 4wt's the company ever produced. Sold in the original tan print bag and black tube with black/gold data label.
