Orvis - S/S/S 8'9" 2/2 10wt Impregnated Bamboo Rod

For sale here is an Orvis SSS (Saltwater, Salmon & Steelhead), 8'9" 2/2 10wt impregnated bamboo rod in excellent+ condition. Medium tempered cane, glued with resorcinol. High bridge carbide stripping guides on the butt and hard chrome snakes on the tips, all wrapped in chestnut brown windings. All sections are full length, straight and serialized (#64819). 6 7/8oz scripted and actual weight. The tips are ~3" longer than the butt section (made that way). 6.75" cork grip with aluminum reel seat. The fighting butt is nested into the base of the reel seat and is threaded to be securely locked when extended. The only signs of use are some very light grip soiling. Ferrules fit well and the rod is ready to hit the water. Made for a WF10F, the rod has a very powerful medium/medium fast action. Designed to hold up in harsh saltwater conditions, it would be a great option for big flies, big fish, and heavy lines. Sold in the original bag and tube with engraved tube cap and 75% label.
