Orvis - Deluxe 7'6" 2/2 6wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is an Orvis Deluxe 7'6" 2-piece / 2-tip impregnated bamboo rod in excellent used condition. Serial #25032, built around 1958/59. Medium tempered impregnated cane with lightly oxidized guides wrapped in transparent caramel windings. 12/64 ferrules fit perfectly and retain most of their deep bluing. All sections are full length & serialized, and one tip has a slight fish fighting set. The butt is scripted "Orvis Impregnated - Deluxe" and the writing is bold and clear. U- shaped hook keeper with 5" superfine cork grip and dual slide band reel seat over mortised cork spacer. The grip has some light ridging, though the reel seat is fairly smooth (it may have been refinished/sanded at some point). Stated weight is 2 7/8oz but it's closer to 3 1/8oz on my scale. The action is medium fast, and like many Orvis bamboo rods, I prefer it with a WF5 over a 6wt. Sold in original gold colored aluminum tube with slightly faded blue & white label.
