Orvis - Battenkill 8'6" 2/1 8wt Impregnated Bamboo Rod

For sale here is an 8'6" 2-piece / 1-tip 8wt, Orvis Battenkill impregnated bamboo rod. Excellent original condition, built on a matte impregnated blank with resorcinol glue lines, brown windings and bright guides. Blued ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections are full length and free of repairs. Both sections are serialized (#82943), and the tip has a slight set. 6.5" grip is clean & smooth, and the rod is fitted with Orvis' standard down-locking reel seat over wood spacer. Scripted weight is 4 3/4oz, but my scale reads 5oz on the nose. Medium action, Orvis rates this rod an 8wt but I think most will prefer it with a DT7. The rod shows almost no signs of use; it would make a nice heavy trout/light salmon/steelhead rod. Sold in the original bag and tube with data label affixed.
