For sale here is an Orvis impregnated Battenkill 8' bamboo rod. 2-piece, 2-tips, serial #21316, made in 1957. Rod is in good used condition, with some scratches and scuffs from honest use. Medium tempered cane with caramel wraps and oxidized snake guides. Blued 13/64 ferrules fit perfectly and each section is straight, full length and serialized. U-shaped hook keeper with NS winding check, 6" grip is soiled but smooth. Down-locking aluminum reel seat over varnished walnut spacer. The rod weighs 4 1/4oz and was originally rated a 6wt, but it feels like it would cast a 5wt line just fine. Sold in original gray bag and what appears to be the original tube, sans label.
