For sale here is an Orvis Battenkill, 7'6" 2-piece / 2-tip 6wt bamboo rod in excellent+ original condition. Serial #69527, made in 1973. The rod features dark impregnated cane with bright guides wrapped in transparent caramel windings. Blued ferrules fit perfectly and all sections are straight, full length & serialized. Scripted and actual weight is 3 7/8oz, and the original owners name is inked on the rod. U-shaped hook keeper, 6.5" cigar grip and up-locking aluminum reel seat over wood spacer. The cork is clean and smooth, and the rod has little evidence of use. Rated for a 6wt, but some may prefer it with a 5wt. Sold in the original bag & tube with engraved hexagonal tube cap and rod care papers.
