For sale here is an Orvis Battenkill 7' 2/2 5wt bamboo rod. Very good used condition, the rod appears to have been restored by Orvis. Dark, impregnated cane with chestnut brown windings. Blued ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections are straight, full length & serialized (#7315). Made in 1950, during Wes Jordan's tenure at Orvis. The rod has been refitted with a Superfine grip & reel seat with dual slide bands. Weight is 2.68oz. One condition note: there is a node crack on one tip, above the 3rd snake guide down from the tip top. This should be addressed with an invisible wrap prior to fishing with this tip. The action is medium, and I like it with a DT5 line. An early 7' Battenkill, sold in the original bag and tube.
