For sale here is a William Olson 3 3/4" Gear & Pawl reel in mint, unused condition. LHW. All black frame and spool with rotating back plate for finger-tip control. Strong check is adjustable internally. The check mechanism is crafted from heat-hardened tool steel for superior longevity. Counter-balanced S-handle with white handle grasp. Nickel silver medallions on the face with the maker's stamp and serial (#298). 11.40oz, diameter is 3 3/4" with a spool width of 1.2". A fantastic spey/salmon reel, from the maker: An excellent match for 7-9wt rods in lengths of 13-15'. Mr. Olson is at the top of his craft with a long waitlist. This one is in new/as-delivered condition and is ready to ship. Sold in the original Arne Mason drawstring pouch with spare spring & modified US dime for takedown.
