For sale here is an 8' 3-piece / 2-tip 5wt bamboo rod from the bench of Bob Nunley. Condition is excellent+, all sections are straight and full length and it appears the rod has seen little use. Lightly flamed cane with black snake guides throughout and Arguello agate stripping guide. Each section is serialized (#5415) and the rod is wrapped with crimson silk and black tipping. 12/64 and 17/64 ferrules and the fit is perfect. This rod features a cap and ring reel seat with highly figured Amboyna burl spacer and 6" rattan grip; a lovely upgrade from Mr. Nunley. Everything on this rod was made in the Nunley shop with the exceptions of the tip-top and stripping guide. The craftsmanship is outstanding and I find the action of the rod to be on the faster side of medium fast. Sold in a cloth bag and brass capped aluminum tube.
