Leonard, H.L. - Model 72-6 Salmon Series, 9' 3/2 6wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is an H.L. Leonard model 72-6, 9' 3/2 6wt bamboo rod. Mint, unused condition with the plastic still on the grip. Serial #83-6, a Larry Foster-era Leonard rod. Honey colored bamboo with dark snake guides and white agate stripping guide. Wraps are transparent tan with red tipping and full intermediates. Bright ferrules (18/64 & 11/64) fit perfectly, and all sections are full length, straight & serialized. 6.5" cork grip with aluminum up-locking reel seat and fixed 2.5" fighting butt. All cork is bright and smooth under the plastic. Weight is 6.17oz. Powerful, deep flexing medium action, it feels like it will handle a WF or DT6. Possibly even a true-to-weight WF7. Absolutely mint condition, I doubt it has ever been cast. This rod packs into the original bag and a custom Arne Mason leather clad brass tube with rod information stamped above the handle.
