For sale here is an H.L. Leonard model 51df, 9' 3/2, 5-6wt bamboo rod. All original, with a few condition considerations. Medium tempered cane with pale yellow wraps and burgundy tipping. Pale yellow intermediates throughout. Left hand twist snake guides and white agate stripping guide. Agate tip tops have hairline cracks. The butt ferrule has a slight tick, and the snake guide closest to the mid-male ferrule has cracked wraps. 5 1/4oz stated and actual weight. Feels like a 5 or 6wt. Cork grip is clean with a hint of ridging, and the all-metal reel seat has some dings but functions properly. A somewhat early and original example, and it's "all there". Whether the noted issues are addressed in-situ or fully/partially restored will be up to the next owner. Sold in the original bag with hangtag and brass capped tube with aftermarket decal.
