For sale here is a pre-fire Leonard model 45 Catskill, 9' 3-piece / 2-tip 5wt bamboo rod in excellent+ restored condition. The rod recently received a full restoration by Tim Zietak and has only been lawn cast since the work was completed. Featuring medium tempered cane with 3x3 nodes, reverse twist guides and Perfection stripping guide wrapped in crimson silks. All sections are straight and full length, and the ferrules fit perfectly. Swelled butt, strap & ring hook keeper and 5" cork grip with cap & ring reel seat over varnished butternut spacer. The spacer has some digs near the top of the mortise, and the roll stamp on the butt cap is faint, especially at the top. Restored weight is 4.6oz. Medium action, I like it with a 5wt. Sold in the original bag with hangtag (fair condition, but intact) and original brass capped tube.
